A command-line tool for sending messages to a BMC(r) Patrol Operations Manager server. The messages turn up in the server's event stream, and you can then set up actions in POM to take based on the messages you are sending.

RPMAutoUpdate is a tool to easily identify which rpm packages, given a large pool of potential files, actually provide updates relevant to packages installed on your system. Development on this has slowed in the wake of the introduction of yum and apt-get into the RedHat product line, but it is mature software.
