Personal Photo Albums have arrived

CMFPhotoAlbum, CMFPhoto, and ImageMagick have all been installed and configured now ready for your use on PHIAG.

CMFPhotoAlbum is a CMF/Plone package designed to allow the easy and graceful creation of Photo Albums in a CMF/Plone site. You can create albums and add photos (or sub-albums); CMFPhotoAlbum deals with nicely organising them all and creating thumbnails, allows you to resize the images at display-time, etc. In addition to this I have enable the FTP server component of Zope to allow you to more easily add several photos at a time; the web interface can be ungainly to use if you have more than two or three photos you want to add (see the help area for assistance uploading photos).

Finally, there are some rules... Because disk space is always at a premium:

• please be considerate to your fellow PHIAG users
• only upload photos in either .jpg or .png format
• please limit photos in size to at most 800x600
• please do not upload very large numbers of photos

One last note, any material deemed offensive (by me) will be summarily removed and potentially accounts deleted. I hope it goes without saying that this is a family site.
